Pate Properties was looking to develop a brand identity for itself, starting with Pate Plaza, a small commercial building. The owner aimed to develop a corporate aesthetic to attract more professional outfits to its properties. He also sought to position the brand as a modern and innovative organization hoping to capture some of the entrepreneurial startups vying for an influx of investment capital into the community.
The final logo used a patterned design derived from an overlapping of the organization's initials. Its boldness came from its clean design rather than from the weight of its elements.
